Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were held to a disappointing draw by relegation battlers Clermont Foot on Saturday, leaving their hopes of retaining the Ligue 1 title hanging by a thread.
The result leaves PSG five points behind league leaders Marseille with just five games remaining in the season.
PSG dominated possession and created the better chances, but they were unable to break down a resolute Clermont defense.
Clermont took the lead in the 21st minute through a stunning long-range strike from Salis Abdul Samed. PSG equalized in the second half through Kylian Mbappé, but they were unable to find a winning goal despite throwing everything at Clermont in the closing stages.
The draw is a major setback for PSG, who are now in danger of losing the Ligue 1 title for the first time since 2017.
